September 14, 2012 in Barnaul, a monument was opened to the peasant migrants who moved to the region during the years of the Stolypin reforms. The author of the monument is the famous sculptor Oleg Zakomorny. The height of the monument - 7.5 meters.
The monument was cast in Moscow, it took about 400 tons of bronze, for the pedestal used granite from St. Petersburg.
