In 2006, the L-0186 steam locomotive was installed on the Glory Memorial of the Barnaul Locomotive Depot on the 110th anniversary of the formation of the Western-Siberian Railway and the 61st anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. This is the largest monument in the Altai Territory: its length is 24 meters and its weight is about 120 tons. Built in 1947, the old locomotive for many years was based on the MPS reserve at the Taiga station of the Kemerovo region. On the initiative of the depot veterans, he was returned to Altai, in order to put it on an eternal memorial site. On the pediment there is a red star with bas-relief images of V. I. Lenin and I. V. Stalin. It is worth noting that, after the start of de-Stalinization, the central element with images of Soviet leaders was dismantled from almost all locomotives. At present, the image of Stalin and Lenin is preserved on the L-0186 locomotive in the depot of Barnaul and on the locomotive-monument L-0154 in Kamen-na-Obi.
