The Headquarters Building is a historic building located on Palace Square in St. Petersburg. Construction of the building continued from 1819 to 1829. Architect: K.I. Rossi. Sculptors: S. S. Pimenov, V. I. Demut-Malinovsky. In the western part of the building is the command of the Western Military District of Russia. The eastern part of the building was transferred to the State Hermitage Museum, which placed in the building paintings of the XIX-XX centuries, mainly Impressionists, and holds temporary exhibitions of modern art in the building.
