Copper sculpture installed near the river in 2009. The sculpture depicts a pilot after the famous flight of 1966, when at the IV World Championship in Moscow, Vladimir Martemyanov won the title of absolute world champion in aerobatics. The monument depicts a young, courageous man, full of strength for new accomplishments, his face is calm, the pilot is absolutely confident in his strength. The author of the monument is Yevgeny Tishchenko.
Vladimir Martemyanov, a native of Kemerovo, has the title of absolute world champion in aerobatics, he is the first athlete to win all the exercises. The first of the Soviet pilots, he became the absolute world champion.
