One of the oldest restaurants in Barcelona is called Can Culleretes. It was opened in 1786, and since then pleases its guests with traditional Catalan dishes. If you want to try exactly those classic recipes that Catalan grandmothers are cooking for, then you can't think of a better place. Inside you will find a spacious room decorated in a modernist style with photographs of celebrities who have visited this legendary institution for its centuries-old history. In the menu are omelet with young asparagus and shrimps, wild boar fillet, homemade sausage with beans, cannelloni with spinach and cod, pork legs stewed in sparkling kava, duck with plums, rabbit grilled with ali-oli sauce, veal with forest mushrooms, all kinds of salads and seafood fish dishes. Lunch on Thursdays and Sundays here serves an abolished paella. For dessert, order the most Catalan dessert "cream Catalan." The restaurant is hidden in a narrow side street of the Gothic Quarter on the edge of the Ramblas. Table is better to book in advance. The average cost of a dish is 10 euros, there are two options for a tasting menu of two courses and a dessert to choose from for 24 or 32 euros.
