The famous chef Albert Raurich, responsible for the delights of the restaurant Dos Palillos, opened a new institution in Barcelona, where they revive forgotten recipes of the past and arrange a real gastro-historical excursion so that anyone can experience how the ancestors of the current Europeans ate in ancient times. Why not bring back the goodies, popular in the Middle Ages, like pork nipples? They were considered a real delicacy and now they can be tasted in the Upper Raval on the trendy Doctor Dou street, along with the garum fish sauce, which was an indispensable ingredient in ancient Rome. No wonder Raurich worked for ten years at El Bulli, the world famous gastronomic laboratory. Now he is subject to any experiments and fantasies there is no limit. Very bright, powerful, unusual and sometimes even harsh tastes of dishes make the restaurant Dos Pebrots a place for risky gourmands who are looking for something out of the ordinary and are tired of typical tapas. The menu includes Roman omelet with pine nuts, assorted smoked fish of various kinds, blood sausage kulan, oxtail, black onion, Neapolitan-style vegetables. Coffee according to the recipe of Marie-Antoinette with pork broth and catalana cream exactly as it was prepared in the XVII century, with honey, ginger and rice starch. Also from the sweet in the menu flan with black pepper and Roman pears in wine. Meals cost from 4 to 10 euros, the average bill per person with wine is about 40 euros, there are two versions of the tasting menu for 40 or 60 euros.
