This is a memorial temple in honor of the reigning rulers of Russian Alexander II and Alexander III in Bose. The upper throne is consecrated in the name of St. Alexander Nevsky. The cathedral turned out to be elegant, festive, and was completely devoid of the restraint that accompanies the memory of the departed.
In June 1918, the wife of FM was funeral in the lower church. Dostoevsky Anna Grigorievna.
In 1921–1922, the well-known theologian Archpriest Sergei Bulgakov served as a priest in the cathedral, and after the war, St. Luke (Voyno-Yasenetsky) served several times on major church holidays in the cathedral.
Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is considered the main temple in Yalta. The consecration of the cathedral took place on December 4, 1902 in the presence of Emperor Nicholas II, his family and retinue. Every year it attracts with its beauty not only tourists, but also numerous pilgrims.
